Publication is dedicated to the history of one of the most known and valued steam locomotives of Polish construction and production – the pre-war, exprees steam locomotive Pt31 class.
Pt31 gained recognition among many European rail carriers and is one of the most important products of Polish technical thought from the inter-war period. Confirmation may be the distinction obtained during the World Exhibition in Paris in 1937.
The book thoroughly acquaints the reader with the scenes of the creation of the locomotive, its construction and operation – both before 1939 and after the end of the war. An important part of it is the outline sketch of the main designer, Ing. Kazimierz Zembrzuski – also enriched by previously unknown reports of the engineer’s daughter, Ms Ewa Zembrzuska – Lenk.
The book by Tomasz Szczerbicki presents the fate of the legendary American brands of motorcycles in Poland – from the pioneering years of motoring to the end of the Second World War. This is the history showing the influence of American technical achievements on the development of Polish automotive industry.
Drawing by Polish constructors of the best American technical solutions has resulted in their own structures that form the basis for the development of motorization in our country. A valuable supplement to the publication is the publication of memories of users of historic models, press reports and other enriched source documents
Rich graphic design, which made up a lot of archival and previously unprinted photos makes this book should interest not only motoring enthusiasts.
The work presents unknown, requiring protection, hospitals in Lower Silesia. In most cases, the descriptions relate to centers that are still active and providing medical services. This unique monograph is completed by over 90 original photos documenting their state of preservation. The work is directed not only to enthusiasts of old architecture, but also to owners of facilities of a similar nature.
The aim of the publication is to present the activity of Upper Silesian zinc smelting in the years 1798-1980, taking into account the technical aspects, the ownership structure of the plants, but also the socio-living situation of steel workers associated with it. Accurate dating of individual development cycles gives the reader a full picture of the environment and economic conditions. In the second part, we have a historical dictionary of Upper Silesia zinc smelters. Alphabetical layout allows you to quickly get to the reader’s information.
