Foundation for the Protection of Silesian Industrial Heritage invites you warmly to participate in the historic, first Gala of Agricultural Technique – . The Gala will be held on 8.09.2018 and 9.09.2018 at the farm and manor house in Piotrowice Świdnickie. It will take part in dozens of historic agricultural tractors, steam rollers, machinery and utility vehicles.
In this unique September weekend, the former Burghaus farmhouse would be filled with farm life for the first time in a long time…
The farm was built around Jakub von Zedlitz’s manor house. Over the next years the renaissance manor house has changed the owners of the largest and most famous families of Silesia. Since endof 18th century belongs to Niklas von Burghauss, the royal chamberlain and the famous philanthropist. The estate was greatly expanded by the founding of hospitals for women and men. In nearby village Łażany, he financed the construction of the first iron bridge on the European continent (20.05.1796).
Today the castle is owned by the Foundation for the Protection of Silesian Industrial Heritage, which organizes the Museum of Agricultural Technology, which will present the history, wealth and achievements of one of the most important areas of agricultural activity in Silesia.
